BCP was started in 1963 by Melvin and Diane Hay; the first 13 years as Hay's Construction and since then as Bashaw Concrete Products Ltd. Bashaw Concrete is truly a family business, currently owned and operated by 2nd and 3rd generations of Mel's family.

Click for a larger imageIn the winter of 2010-11 we built a new office building across the street from our main shop. The office is built to resemble a train station and includes some excellent stamping and concrete work. The outside boardwalk is made of stamped plank and the sidewalk running across the street is a full size railway track.

Inside the building the power troweled floor was transformed in to a plank wood floor throughout the building, flagstone at the front entrance and railway tracks running around the perimeter of the main room. We even had our Bashaw Concrete logo etched into the floor. It truly is a work of art! Stop by next time you are in Bashaw and take a look for yourself, it really is amazing to see what can be done with a normal boring slab of concrete.

Over the years production has expanded into multiple new shops and office buildings. The most recent being the new state-of-the-art Batch Plant.
